Kasia Madera is a BBC News Channel Correspondent Presenter with over 20 years of broadcasting experience for BBC News. She specialises in international affairs with a personal insight into eastern Europe. Kasia was a continuous and reassuring on-air presence throughout the Covid pandemic. At the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Kasia was one of the first international journalists to report live from the Poland-Ukraine border, sensitively interviewing refugees in Polish and Ukrainian. She is also very experienced in anchoring rolling coverage during significant breaking news events. Kasia broadcast from outside Buckingham Palace on the night of the death of Her Majesty, Queen Elisabeth II and spent hours interviewing mourners in the legendary Queue to file past Her Majesty’s coffin in the Palace of Westminster.
