Emily Porter-Salmon is a Director at Sign Salad, an award-winning cultural insight agency specialising in semiotics and language analysis. She has worked across projects for a wide range of brands across multiple markets and sectors, including media, technology, food and drink, and healthcare. Emily has led semiotic investigations into a broad range of cultural concepts, including Online Navigation, Gaming and Rebellious Self-Expression for clients such as the BBC, Pernod Ricard and Dr. Martens. Emily has a PhD in the History of Art, and a passion for contemporary popular and consumer culture. She has an active interest in kids research, media and gaming. Her favourite game of all time is probably Monkey Island II: LeChuck’s Revenge.
