Robert Solomon
There are lots of people who claim to have “written the book” on client service, but
the reality is, there is only one person who actually did write that book. His name is Robert
Solomon, the book is The Art of Client Service, which for the last 20 years has served as the
go-to resource and guide for agencies worldwide, in particular people dedicated to account
management and client service.
Through his books along with his workshops and presentations, plus his consulting
and coaching practice, Robert has established himself among the world’s leading
authorities on how to improve creative work by forging and sustaining trust-based
relationships with colleagues, and, even more importantly, with clients.
Prior to founding Solomon Strategic, a firm that provides marketing counsel to
advertising agencies, client companies, and individual marketing professionals seeking
behavior change, Robert was a senior executive at several stellar U.S.-based, international
advertising and marketing firms, serving as President and CEO of Rapp New York,
President of Direct and Digital Marketing at Ammirati Puris Lintas, General Manager of FCB
Direct West, and Senior Vice President and Associate Partner at Digitas.
If you’ve read what Robert has written, then you know The Art of Client Service sets
forth principles that remain instructive, relevant, and timeless, serving as a powerful
source of guidance and wisdom on what it means to deliver stellar service to clients and
superior support to colleagues. Its lessons and stories are applicable from the moment you
read them.
After many years working with New York city-based agencies, Robert and his wife
Roberta now call Napa, California home, along with the world’s two best dogs, Sophie and
Arlo.
