Nüzhet Algüneş studied economics at Bogazici University. After graduating in 1994, he joined Unilever, where he worked for seven years, taking on executive roles for the sales, marketing, media departments.
Between 2001-2002, Algüneş decided to follow his dreams and became the Senior Vice President of Universal Music, Turkey. He then decided to return to marketing and communications, taking on roles in international agencies such as Mindshare, Mobilera, OMD, BPN, working on Mobile Technologies, digital marketing, media planning/buying, business development, brand communication strategies.
Currently, Algüneş works at TBWA Istanbul. He is a lecturer on Media Planning and Interactive Marketing at Istanbul Bilgi University. He has a column at MediaCat (AdAge Turkey) on the future of marketing communications and gives talks at seminars and panels.
